HelpACop Guide: Using ‘Updates’ to get more donations.

Donors love to see their money go to use. You can use ‘Updates’ to keep your donors and visitors abreast of what’s going on.

A great side effect of these updates is continued momentum. If your supporters see your campaign is making progress, they’ll want to share again to help you reach your goal! Including pictures and videos is a great way to engage your community, and encourage them to visit your campaign for new updates.

How do I post or delete an update?

To post an update, do the following:

  1. Sign in to your HelpACop account here.
  2. Click ‘My Account’ at the top right of the screen.
  3. Scroll down to your campaign and click the campaign.
  4. Click the ‘Updates’ tab and write your update.
  5. This Update can include videos and photos. Submit your Update.

To delete an update, do the following:

  1. Sign in to your HelpACop account here.
  2. Navigate to your campaign.
  3. Click the ‘Updates’ tab.
  4. Find the ‘Update’ you wish to delete, and click “Delete comment”.

The update will now be deleted, but this won’t remove it from any websites it has been shared to.

Please note that editing an update is not yet available on HelpACop.
