On September 12, 2022 the FLL family lost one of our very own. CBPO Sean Fletcher, 54, passed
away due to medical complications.

Fletch, as he is affectionately known by many of his colleagues was a born fighter. He was proud to
talk about his upbringing in Orange, New Jersey, considered a tough part of town. He eventually
picked up boxing as one of his passions at an early age. In 1986, Fletch joined the U.S. Navy, where
while serving his country, he participated in numerous military and semi-professional boxing
matches. On November 12, 1993 Fletch was inducted into the New Jersey boxing Hall of Fame.

Fletch continued his service to the country by joining CBP in 2005. He worked in multiple facets of
the agency including Passenger Process, Trade, ATCET, TET and devoted himself to serving his officers as an NTEU Shop Steward.

Unfortunately, his fighting spirit was unable to overcome the medical complications and physical
deterioration that he had suffered. As late as 24 hours prior to his passing, he declared himself ready
to fight through this and get back to work, because he refused to go down on anyone else’s terms.
Fletch will truly be missed. His fighting spirit is an inspiration, and he will never be forgotten. Sleep in
peace, Fletch!!!

CBPO Fletcher is survived by his mother, two daughters, son and 5-year-old grandson. All proceeds from this campaign will go to the family to assist with his final expenses.
