It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Deputy Chief Customs and Border Protection Officer Robert “Rob” Cavallone from the Port of JFK. Deputy Chief Cavallone passed away on July 22, 2021. Deputy Chief Cavallone worked for CBP and its predecessor agency, the United States Customs Service, for 30 years, beginning his career in 1991. He worked on many specialized units and held a variety of positions during the course of his career.
Rob was a dedicated CBP employee, sharing his knowledge of the job with others as he moved further along in his career path. He will be remembered as a great colleague and mentor but moreover as a friend to all who knew him. He is survived by both his parents, his wife Sayra, and two teenage daughters.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Deputy Chief Customs and Border Protection Officer Robert “Rob” Cavallone from the Port of JFK.
